Hello!
I'm so happy you're here! I'm Melissa (aka "Melly P" a nickname I received as an adult while working in the hospital).

Most days you can find me laughing, usually with a cup of coffee in hand, trying to live each moment balancing being a momma, wife, friend, sibling, and woman chasing her own dreams! I love people; I am both an RN and a photographer. Between those 2 hats, I get to see people in their happiest, saddest, scariest, and silliest of times.

Those close to me would describe me as being authentic and fun! My favorite days include having intentionally present exchanges with everyone I meet...from the barista to that random person you pass on the street.

The things I'm most blessed and grateful for are my faith, my family (I'm a lucky mom to 3 amazing kiddos and a wife for nearly 10 years), and my health (I've had Type 1 Diabetes for over 31 years and refuse to let it stop me from living my dreams!).

I love capturing individuals and families!
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, updating yearly pictures to hang on your wall, upgrading your professional LinkedIn profile with a recent picture not cropped from a family gathering :), or simply capturing treasures for your family heirloom, let's do it together having a fun time in the process!

In my free time, you can catch me chasing after my little ones, singing in the car, taking courses to pursue my post-masters, or having a random conversation with a stranger.

If you find yourself thinking "I just want to learn a few more random facts about Melissa"...wait no more:
  • I've lived in Phoenix, AZ my whole life. There aren't a ton of "natives" around here. :)
  • I used to collect troll dolls. Yep, I thought those odd little dolls were somewhat endearing!
  • I've always wanted to be on Family Feud, and my family is on the active list! Fingers crossed!
  • I live in a nut free house. True story...my son had an anaphylactic reaction eating a sample at Costco. Scary times for this momma! If you find yourself near a cashew soon, eat an extra one for me please.
  • I love "my Target" so much that my son thought I worked there when he was younger since people knew me by name, noticed when I changed my hair color, and asked if I was ok when they hadn't seen me in a while (after having a baby).
  • I'm not all that athletic but do have a secret passion, jumprope! Last I heard, I still hold a field day record of 180 jumps in 45 seconds at my elementary school.  Ha!
